INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW EMBRACE THE DIGITAL WORLD AND TRANSFORM INTO FIA CONNECT WEEK
Farnborough International Airshow is one of the leading event for the aviation industry, indeed each edition is a great success for the presence of the top aerospace companies, more than 1500 exhibitors and thousands of visitors from all over the world. As Gareth Rogers affirmed (CEO, Farnborough International) : “The cancellation of the Farnborough International Airshow scheduled for July in response to the Covid-19 pandemic was a major shock, however the team is determined to create something that brings as many aspects of the show to the global aerospace industry as possible”. Organizers decided to redesign the show in digital version, transforming the physical one into FIA Connect Week.
The online platform will offer five days of contents, collaboration, connection of the global aerospace industry. It will be a free virtual program full of conferences, networking, promotional opportunities, video interviews and analysis of aerospace industry leaders, innovators and journalists.
And there’s more!
In order to make the digital event the most engaging as possible there is a Meet the Buyer Programme to organize virtual meetings and create connections between the decision-making buyers and global suppliers. This is a great opportunity to continue to establish interesting business relationships in a future perspective.
The real new feature is the Farnborough Friday, a showcase addressed to students, apprentices, graduates and young professionals who dream a career in the aerospace industry. During the day attendees will receive more information about the latest trends in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and useful advises to move the first steps in this fascinating industry.
Moving an event into the digital needs a huge effort but in this moment it is an innovative opportunity to keep on working, networking and spread a message of positivism and resilience for the aviation world!
