The UKCW London event's main focus was on the fundamental issue of culture change in the construction industry.
As 2022 is the year dedicated to focusing on how to make systemic changes and sharing lessons learned from organizations that have already achieved significant progress, Industrialists were encouraged to ensure that no part of the construction industry is unable to live up to its basic values, implement new rules and behaviours, or be transformed by cultural change.
UKCW was a platform laid to recognize the industry's accomplishments as well as some of the top thought leaders and innovators the industry has to offer. Speakers from UKCW provided updates on new public procurement rules, the new regulatory regime for building safety, the upcoming Building Safety Act, and completely new ways in which the industry works on projects as diverse as prisons, hospitals, road and rail infrastructure, educational buildings, and housing. They also discussed digitalization, Net Zero, and energy futures, as well as human concerns such as diversity, health and wellbeing, recruiting, and retention.
